I have an arduino connected to arduino cloud at my house and an arduino at my water pump 700m away.

What is the best way/ library to implement bidirectional communication as both have on/off switches and cloud also does on/off. Signal isn’t always perfect so needs to be robust. Thank you!

What’s the best second year or above elective? Needs a good balance of being somewhat easy but also interesting.

Note: am studying engineering but open to any areas.
