The Turm 2 is one the proposed turrets for the E100, while lighter than the Maus turret it would still be too heavy for the running gear and would overtax the drive line. Poor E100 a doomed project from the start.

The first member of the panzer 2 family to use interleaved wheels and possibly the first panzer to use that layout, one of these is in the tank museum in perfect condition.

The 70V is normally called the Jadgpanzer 4 but there is another vehicle that contends for the title of Jadgpanzer 4 and that's the 70A (the fat-jadg)

If this models proportions look off that's on me, best I could do when I modified the base model.

The panzer 3/4 was a concept tank that never left paper it would have combined parts from the panzer 3 and 4 onto one hull, this would theoretically streamline production but it has several downsides that made it impossible to implement.

It would require the startup of another production line at massive scale while the panzer 3 and 4 where still being made and holding onto a huge reserve before they could be sent out and finally convert the other production lines to modify the vehicles being returned into other uses as you can't just scrap them as they would still have value. This in turns means you have to keep making parts for them which could slow down the production of your new main tank.

In short any attempt to actually implement this vehicle as the main fighting vehicle would be utter madness, logistical and economic suicide. Still I think it's a cool concept and deserves a place in my collection.

The model you see here was built using a Quanquan panzer 3 (100247) and two vk16.02 (100101) for the angled parts, the copula that was a spare I had from a Quan stug 3 (100307) that I previously modified into something else.

Yukari had a whirlwind of fun checking out this tank with Miho.

I don't think VK numbers go that high but I found this one and decided I would build one as it at least looked like it could exist. It reminds me a lot of soviet tractor tanks with how the gunshield looks.

As for where I found it, same story that I found the panzerjäger 4 Libelle called Panzerland, it's an alternative history story where the US only declared war on imperial Japan and not the Third reich causing the war in Europe to drag on longer without US lend-lease support. I'm not linking the story as the person who wrote it is a lunatic with a poor grasp on history but they makes good drawings.

I think it looks cool at least.

Quite literally take a panzer or StuG 3 and let factory no 37 do it's thing, most never saw the end of WW2 as soviet supreme command viewed them as damaging to the image of the Soviet Union and all but two from the 1,220 confirmed to have been made would be scrapped.

A special thanks to the FV4005 for guest stating in today's Floofpost about the FV4005.

The FV4005 or "Doomshed" as I prefer is my favourite tank of all time, someone in 1947 asked if we should try putting a 18.3cm gun on a centurion hull and then someone else signed off on the work. Between her Stage 1 open top variant "the centaur" and stage 2 she would fire 300 shots down ranges and in those firing trials would annihilate a centurion and a conqueror. In 1957 as they where drawing up plans to move the gun onto a bespoke conqueror hull the project would be cancelled in favour of ATGMs, air power and the development of penetrating munitions.

Only the stage 2 survives as it's two centaur brothers would be used a equipment test beds untill being scrapped. it currently lives at the tank museum and was restored to full working condition.

REVIEW TIME

PART 1 OVERALL QUALITY

No stickers all prints that are very clear, plenty of spares parts while missing a 1x4 tile I was able to put 2 1x2 tiles in its place. No minifigs and the tracks are little iffy. Te turret locks in both broadside positions and not at 45°.

PART 2 THE BUILD

I took my time with this one wanting to enjoy the build and the only complaints I have is the tracks are little iffy, the barrel should have been a specialty part as it is rather weak and the barrel support needs to be partial broken in order to fold up. The manual was very easy to follow and the build is done in six sections.

PART 3 OBSERVATIONS

give us a centurion turret, We have the hull I need a proper centurion. Also the shells this comes with are far too small and no propellent.

PART 4 FINAL THOUGHTS

great model with a few flaws, looking forward to the 215 and maybe in future we might get a centurion out of this.

7/10 points deducted for the weak barrel, the nature of the support and the shells. could be better but I still recommend it.

Reizei tried to help out with todays Floofpost but she fell asleep at least she did better than with the Abrams.

Ok get ready for some abridged history for this utterly cursed machine; in October 1943 alkett would receive a crusader tank that was an open top engineering variant and by January 1944 they had made a mid engine panzer 3 with a rear bed that would carry troops while the vehicle acted as an artillery train capable of pulling multiple guns, it's name at this time was so long that I simply refuse to write it down.

And thus began an argument about who will get the thing and that ended with 16 people being hospitalised and so German high command forbid people from discussing the tank. Someone at Krupp however saw a tank with space for gun and stole it from alkett and made what you see in the Floofpost above and on June 5th presented it and even posed for a photo, one of the only two to exist. We all know what happened on June 6th and this made the people who engineers who made it argue horribly in drunken state that evening hospitalising another 14 people.

German high command now truly angry took the vehicle and shoved it in a warehouse on the east side of Germany where the soviets would find it already burnt along with the warehouse, confused about what they had found they got a Scotsman to help and at some point a drinking contest began and the Scotsman drank them all under the table so much that 7 people where hospitalised for alcohol poisoning and that point it was taken to scrapyard where it's last photo was taken along with dozens of other tanks awaiting Thier fate.

Without ever being used 37 people ended up in a hospital as a result of its existence.

TL,DR: cursed machine.

The tank for tomorrow will be the FV4005 at which point normal voting will resume.
