Hello all, is anyone having issues with BCBS and their denials of procedure codes stating " procedure/modifier combination is invalid." This is a new denial ive started to see this year! Its very frustrating considering these specific CPT codes require anatomical modifiers! Codes are S2066, S2067, S2068, 19316, and 19303. Ive asked our coders and theyre unsure as well. Im at a loss 😭

Dr listed a different surgeon as an assistant on the header. However, body of op report only mentions him and a co surg, with no mention of the assistant whatsoever. We asked him to amend this but he refused saying he doesn't have to mention the assistant or the work they did? How can I approach this?

I bought 3 disposable products (2 thc, 1thcp) I wasn't aware until today you cannot have these in your checked luggage. Im flying from Chicago to Texas on Tuesday. Is it better to mail them to myself?? Would they be able to tell if I brought it on a carry on? My worry about that is that last time I left Chicago there was drug sniffing dogs at security at the airport
