Confused and Information Overload
Hello! I’m F21 and have been “diagnosed” with PCOS for as long as I can remember. Had amenorrhea and then went on bc for a year. hated it. treated a symptom not the cause. I really want to get nutrition, lifestyle, medications, supplements, etc under control. But i’m so confused and so so tired of all the conflicting info and band aid solutions so i’d love some advice if anyone is able to help 😭
If anyone has a good all in one resource, that would be awesome.
- Naturally, in PCOS fashion, I have the worst PCOS belly and am overweight. Nothing ever works, did Ozempic for a bit. Not very regular with it though. I didn’t find it very fruitful though. Didn’t help with my PCOS symptoms but it did help me lose a bit of weight. Was looking to start Mounjaro (would have to pay much more), any advice when starting out? How should I track or best build habits? What can I do now to make titrating down easier? Has the GLP been worth it? Esp. considering the money
- What are the go to supplements? Why?? 😭
- Is hair growth suppression medication worth it for hirusitism?
- What are the staple foods to avoid? Please meal prep tips or foods that are easy/cheap to make since i’m a college student and meal prepping is genuinely the death of me i don’t each much at all :////
- Why is strength training such a must? How do I do it in the “right” way? What should I train? How often?? I used to strength train but don’t anymore because I thought it wouldn’t help and make me lose weight slower… Also hard to see results for something so long term. Any tips??
- Any other tips or resources is exceptionally appreciated..
Btw, talking to endo and GP but they don’t know enough about resources :/
