Please help🙏
I’m 54 years old (probably still on perimenopause) had an abnormal Pap with HPV + high risk, so my OB had done colposcopy which she didn’t see anything abnormal, did ECC and found out some atypical glandular cells that the pathologist called it Adenocarcinoma in situ. It was really very scary when I received this report because this is precancerous cells. My OB referred me to OB/Oncologist for cone biopsy. Did the cone biopsy last June 16th and the surgery went well with smooth recovery time. Yesterday, I came back for a post operative appointment and received my path report. This is the exact words of the diagnosis:
Cervix Conization:
Endo cervical Adenocarcinoma in situ, HPV associated with all surgical margins free of dysplasia or malignancyEndocervical Curettage:
Benign endocervical mucosa with no diagnostic pathologic changes. No evidence of dysplasia or malignancy identified.
I was very happy to receive this path report but I thought, I won’t do any hysterectomy since they took out the bad part and margins are free or clear. and I will just be monitored but They recommended it. To be honest, I am afraid of another surgery and especially it was mentioned that all my reproductive organs will be removed. Please help me decide. Thank in advance
