Mixed feelings: a post about a reasonable case (gender inequality), but entirely written by AI from someone in a big role at Salesforce...and most comments are bots or AI written

Replacement for Jabra Evolve 75?

Location: Switzerland (Italy / France / Germany also OK)

Budget: 300USD (245CHF - 261EUR)

I am looking to replace my Jabra Evolve 75. Second pair I own, and they are fantastic but they are starting to show issues I had with my previous pair (mic starting to malfunction).

The things I loved and that I'm looking for:

- comfort

- sidetone

- decent length for mic boom, with good noise isolation

I tried the Evolve2 75 and they are simply inferior to the Evolve.

I see Evolve2 65 Flex recommendations, but also numerous issues with mic suddenly not working.

I use this for my work (fully remote, approx 6 hours / day in meetings lucky me).

I think "A deepness in the Sky" is now my favourite book of all time

I have been a fan of Vinge for a while now, but only on my second re-read of A deepness in the Sky I come to appreciate how incredible this book is.

As a disclaimer, I am a distracted reader and I like to re-read books mostly to uncover angles that I might have missed on a first read.

While reading Deepness, I realised how incredible the work that Vinge has done in portraying the multiple sides of the story and the Arachna / Humans perceptions.

The plot was already incredible, with the discovery of a unique world with peculiar traits. The quest for survival, the character building and the reveal of Trinli's identity were simply excellent. The epoch-spanning plans for Qeng Ho, the localizers etc just fit the story beautifully.

But what really blew me away this time was the _perceptions_ .

It takes you almost 80% of the book to realised you've humanized somehow the spiders, picturing them as some human-like characters living in some buildings that resemble ours, driving cars that resemble ours.

Then, they finally have A/V and *their* surprise is *yours* surprise. You realise how far apart your perception was as Nau and the likes discover the same.

I have always loved A Fire Upon the Deep for the Zones, its portraying of AI (the first few pages are chilling, a must-read in my opinion for any sci-fi lover) and in general an incredibly original story. But the second sweep through Deepness just kicked it all the way at the top of my favourite books.

I'd appreciate any recommendations for books similar to this!

Italiani "studiati" che scappano all'estero, e ipocrisia
