Working hard to match complexion products to my face.

Working hard to match complexion products to my face.

I liked how I did makeup today, despite having to do work to get a foundation and concealer match by colour correcting. I'm open to shade suggestions, if anyone has one. I have combo skin. Regardless of any suggestions, I just thought I'd share how I make my complexion products work.

Farewell, sweet eyeliner.

I did the best I could and am calling it. This Nyx Epic Wear Liner Stick in Pitch Black is done-zo. I am disabled with shaky, unreliable hands, so the only reason I was able to use this liner as long as I did was because adding the cap to the end of this liner made it a bit longer and easier to grip. Pretty proud I was able to make it work. Now this liner goes in the bag of broken and expired makeup for art projects!

April Empties

- Milani Make it Last Spray Original: This is my favourite drugstore setting spray and therefore the setting spray I'll always buy because I'm not doing high-end or luxury when drugstore works.

- Lavdik retinol and collagen moisturizer and neck cream: This is an Amazon find and is very affordable. Lasted a little over a month despite generous use nightly on my neck, chest, and back of hands. I don't have any extra retinol creams so I repurchased this one.

- Holo Taco nail polish in Vine to Table: I do my nails A LOT as I like the process, the look of it, and my nails peel like onions due to chronic illness, meaning I need to always fix chips. I went through this in a month and poured the last dregs into a half-used bottle of the same shade, so that I'm not wasting polish. This shade matches my wheelchair, so it's a repurchase.

- Tretinoin cream: I use this on my face for acne, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation. It's done wonders for me over the last year and a half. It's a prescription, so as long as my dermatologist thinks it's a good thing for me, I'll use it.

- The Ordinary moisturizer with hyaluronic acid: This was a mini i bought to try out after I ran out of others. It's thicker than what I formerly used (e.l.f.), but I like it and purchased a full-size tube when I used this up.

- Milani Conceal + Perfect Blur Out Primer: I like this a lot and have repurchased it, but will also be trying out the Milk Hydro Grip primer someone I know kindly sent me in a care package, because I don't want to waste it. Those are my only two face primers and I won't be buying anything else.

- Bath & Body Works Champagne, Honey, and Apple hand cream: This mini was my purse hand cream, and I finally finished it! Now I'm using another hand cream I had in my stash that was advertised as a boba-themed cream that sadly does not smell at all. Still, I'm happy to be getting through that one, too!

Looking for a good red lippie!

Hello fellow olives! I've been searching for the right red lipstick for my complexion at least 25 years, without success. I didn't know I was an olive until more recently, though, which explains why nothing I was trying was working. Still now, I'm not sure what red goes well with cool olive skin, so I'm turning to you kind folks. Can anyone help me out with recs or places to look?
