What are the signs of needing plates removed?

I am 10 weeks out of surgery and have been dealing with some complications with nerve pain since week 2, and recently my medication stopped working at effectively for the pain , and weirdly I have been getting redness (maybe rocesea) and itchiness on my face. The redness could be unrelated to the surgery, but I am starting to wonder if it could be related to the plates. What are the signs that the plates need to be removed?

Oyster mushroom?

My friend found this in Wisconsin and it looks like an oyster, but it also looks off with the color being tinged tan/yellowish that makes me worried its jack o lantern. It looks old to me so I am assuming its just discolored. The inside of the gills are white, but the outside edges have a light yellow tint.

No distinct smell, just mushroom room smell. I don't smell the sweet licorice smell.

I am currently trying a spore test to see as well, but worried my friend will eat it without getting a full ID.

Can someone let me know what they think?

(Post op week 6) I think I'm ugly until I look at before photos and die a little inside

I'm post op djs and genio six weeks correcting my over bite. I never intended to worry about my appearance after surgery, I had a lot of health problems that needed to be fixed by this (tmj and small airway) and I lived with the acceptance of not looking conventionally good looking for decades. No surprise, I still give myself a hard time after surgery thinking regardless of the new jaw that I am not pretty (Guess having surgery isn't enough to undo a history of low self esteem!).

But then I see photos of my before and I really cannot complain when I see where I started. I went through hell to get to where I am and it is a big improvement. I was extremely recessed and I am so embarrassed with how I walk around for two years.

I spent most of my adult life setting my jaw forward to "correct" my bite, putting a ton of strain on my tmj and not even really helping my airway much. I looked better that way but also couldn't stand up straight and looked recessed. After starting my braces for surgery and talking to my surgeon about how Im killing my jaw joint with pushing my jaw forward, I stopped. I wish I had more side profiles of my jaw before braces, because I swear I looked somewhat better since braces usually makes the overbite worse. Before braces, I actually felt good about the way I looked but deciding to have surgery really pushed me down a rabbit hole of feeling unattractive hyper focusing on my jaw. I also think my posture progressively got worse.

Well, here it is, my glorious before chin.

I also want people who are early post surgery or about to have surgery that you will get a good scare thinking you surgeon messed up. I literally grew more of a chin each week of recovery.

I don't have scans, won't say my surgeon and do not have my movements. Sorry!

Health benefits I am so far experienced is posture improvement and some better breathing. Hoping for a better airway ( I am still congested) and better sleep. I did experience nerve pain but it is managed.

Hoping to feel better than my old self as I near the end of my recovery! Cheers!

Post op my skin feels god awful. Advice needed

Post op day 17. The tightness and hard swelling under my skin are disgusting and my skin looks waxy and weird. I have tried to keep my skin moisturized as best as can since it dries up easily and quickly.

Any advice on what to do with my skin to help it feel better? I have heard its normal for skin texture to be weird for awhile post surgery, when does it get better?
