Missed a first time appointment with a lawyer because of Copilot

had a long awaited appointment with a lawyer about a serious matter. I was to meet with him virtually online using Micro. Teams. I was new to it, having always used Zoom in the past. I managed to get into Micro. Teams and thought I was the first one there waiting for the meeting with the lawyer to start. I keep messaging co-pilot with "tech support" type questions if you will. And it was only too happy to answer each one. I asked co pilot about a couple of times if I should call the law office to verify if I had the right date. It kept saying "no, lawyers are busy, he will be there". As it turned out, I was not signed in properly to Micro. Teams but please note in those messages to co pilot i was also explaining what I was seeing on the screen and co pilot kept telling me i was in the right place and to just wait for the lawyer to join the meeting. As it turned out Co Piolot misinformed me. I was not "in the meeting" I was in the holding area before the meeting and had to click on "join meeting" which co pilot told me I did not have to do "because you are already in the meeting and that sometimes that join meeting button is there even when you are already in". The lawyer had been waiting for me and left and a meeting was missed. This is horribly shameful for me to miss my first meeting with a lawyer based on co pilots "tech support" replies to my questions. And that is a poor execution of information because i was very specific about everything in each chat i was having with Co Pilot. There is no way they misunderstood what I was saying.

Lost over 100 lbs. Had lots of loose skin on my face and neck.

The doctor chose a conservative traditional SMAS lower facelift. It's a great procedure that works for most. No one likes to say a doctor made an error in judgment because it sounds like a complaint. And complaining about doctors is not something people find easy to believe. It always turns on the patient. That it is a personal complaint. That the doctor had no role in it. Because he or she knows what they are doing. They are trained professionals! The facts are that for a massive weight loss, it requires a different technique because the skin is thin from the stretching due to the weight and even though some is removed, that which is left will stretch out again in a short period of time unless work is done "under the skin" to prevent that from happening. He did not do that and it was an honest mistake. I am sad though. I still have loose skin and it was actually what I wanted taken off. It cost me a lot of money I did not have. That part plays a big role. I am not going to "sue" him. Just regret this whole thing. Was sooo excited to be having my excess skin on my face removed. And so bummed out a little was taken off but a large portion was not. Feel like crying.

2010 Jeep Patriot

My car has been having some "leaking" codes come up (check engine light) but repair shop cleared code since it said to change gas cap at the same time on the dashboard (not on the codes). The vehicle a very short time after started making a loud noise. I thought it was the muffler but it was the catalytic converter disconnected from the pipe it was attached to. I do go an "honest" shop and the mechanic recommended replacing the catalytic converted and the necessary pipes. (He does not get a commission for work done). He admits it is a costly repair but says in NY the car has to pass emission inspections and patching things up might not work in the long run. It is a 2010 Jeep Patriot. Right now being on a fixed income I cannot at this time take out a loan to buy a new car. Maybe down the road. Ever heard of replacing the catalytic converter and associated pipes instead of repairing? Thanks.

My Jeep Patriot is 16 years old, but.....

Hi 'friends',

My Jeep Patriot is 16 years old. It's a 2010. when I bought it used from a dealership about 5 years ago, It had 50,000 original miles on it. I was not looking per se for a Jeep but it was fairly priced vehicle compared to the other vehicles in what they call their Warehouse, within my budget and it had relatively low mileage for a car that age. Between the price and the mileage I bought it. I bought it at Driver's Village, a big car place in the Syracuse area. From the start I started to have problems with it that were costing me money. A couple of hundred dollars. And that has been the story since I owned it. Every year I have had to put hundreds of dollars into it some kind of repair. The check engine light is a now a personal friend. That became a true annoyance with all the repair jobs. Many people would have ditched it early on but I kept it because based on being on a fixed income, it was cheaper for me to keep the car and keep fixing it vs. taking out a loan and buying a different car. I might be spending hundreds a year to keep it fixed but that is less expensive than taking out a loan for a more expensive vehicle. I know, sounds strange but I did to the math. And let's face it, no one keeps a vehicle that needs constant reapairs. I know that. Thing is with a car that is not an expensive quality vehicle even when new is old to beging with, it's a disaster waiting to happen. But when I bought it being on fixed income, it was the least expensive car I fould find from any dealer in the area. It was beautiful to look at. Looked almost brand new and the interior was impeccable. I just found out another major repair is in the works. The catalytic converter is shot and as you know it is not just replacing that. The exhaust pipes leading up to it have to be replaced too. to keep the whole thing in one long piece. I wanted to find a welding shop that will weld the CC back on but i have done chop shop things in the past and they don't last. and you pay for that welding. it isn't free. I had some welding done once and within 1 month it all came tumbling down i wound up having to now get the job done the right way. I know this is going to cost alot of money but my alternatives are to take out a bank loan to buy a new car. I will be paying off a long for a long time and have large monthly payments. I am nickle and diming keeping this car on the road yes at the end when you put in the amount i have put in with repairs, wow, that vehicle is worth alot, lol. But based on my budget it is "cheaper" for me to this it this way. Taking out a car loan righ now and locking into payment when you are on a social security fixed income. And no, i have no family or friend willing to help out financially to help me get a new car. Many go this route. Holding on to a piece of__ and fixing it as things come up because that is what they can afford. Not because it's smart or practical. I have a couple of bank loans I am paying off. Once they are paid off, I will be looking to buy a new car.

$399 including parts, labor and tax for rear wheel bearing

I had a rear wheel bearing on driver's side put in and was charged $399 including parts and labor (and tax). Is that a fair price? The vehicle is an inexpensive one ( 2010 Jeep Patriot) but the shop doesn't give discounts for that, LOL. Thanks.
