Sharing this here because it didn't occur to me until I saw my sister play it this way.

Instead of running to each coin, jump onto the tiles with the coins in a checkerboard type fashion. There's definitely still a lot of skill needed for some of the jumps, there are some big long jumps, but if you have a clear strat of which way you wanna go and you do it this way, it's not impossible.

This is coming from someone who stopped playing for months because I got stuck at Luigi's purple coins, I picked it back up again recently and finished the Mario version and now the Luigi version too.

People talk about the hardest levels in SMG, comparing daredevils and purple coins and all that, and I've noticed the ones that get the most heat are boulder heist daredevil and Luigi's purple coins.

But nothing has made me want to ragequit my Luigi run more than dusty dune purple coins. I keep getting to like 70-80 coins and then falling off the platform and having to start over. The level is not difficult but a careless mistake sets you back so far.

WHY IS LUIGI SO SLIPPERY

TIL that 99 is the maximum number of 1 ups you can have. I have no idea how I managed to actually get that many, but I did and I'm pretty impressed with myself
