Revisiting Tropico 6, Isla Cuadrada
Hello fellow Tropicans! I've been revisiting again the Tropico saga, from 1 to 6. This particular post is for my T6 game that I played over the last couple of weeks, this time with several mods installed + The Llama of Wall Street DLC.
My usual style is a benevolent democracy: I hold real elections without cheating and try to keep everyone happy, aiming to maintain all indexes above 60. That goes for the superpowers too, and at this point my relations with all of them are at or near 100.
As the island grew, I shifted the economy from export-based, to tourism, and finally to services.
Everything ran smoothly until the population hit around 6–7k. That's when traffic started choking the industries, with exports revenue collapsing from about 1 million to almost nothing.
I'm tempted to pick up Caribbean Skies to see whether drone logistics could help with the traffic. Has anyone tried that for congestion, or got other fixes for a gridlocked late-game island?
