Hi, I’m planning a trip in India for about 8 days. Me and my wife will be travelling, budget is around 1.2L total including flights. I’m interested in mountains and lakes since beaches I’ve travelled a lot. I have been to Tosh, McLoedganj and Bir in Himachal so maybe would skip Himachal. What are some good options? We like mountains, lakes, waterfalls, good restaurants and cafes, nice weather, one day hikes, etc.
We were thinking of many places but the weather is making it difficult to plan. North East (Assam, Meghalaya and Sikkim) has many places but rainfall and landslides may occur making travel unpredictable. Uttarakhand we have been to Rushikesh. Himachal also we have visited already. Leh Ladakh is great but flights are too expensive, 50k return per person from Mumbai.
Kerala and Karnataka also heavy rainfall predicted so not sure where to go.
Suggest any option, as long as the weather is not extreme so that our trip isn’t cancelled or we aren’t stuck somewhere
