I bought a brand new 2024 Kia Carnival SX Prestige back in mid-2024.
I live in SoCal, so zero snow, just a lot of hot pavement) and have put about 33,000 miles on it so far.
The dealership mechanic just told me the tread is completely gone and I need a full replacement. Does it make sense to burn through factory tires this fast, or is it possible I got a defective set?

Assuming I need to bite the bullet and replace them:
- What tires do you guys recommend for a heavy FWD minivan in a hot, dry climate? (I'm looking at the Michelin Defender 2, but open to suggestions).

- Where should I get them installed? Is there any reason to use the Kia dealership service center, or am I better off just going to Costco?

I’m a Canadian citizen currently living and working in the US under TN status as a Computer Systems Analyst (CSA). I’ve just accepted an offer with a new company and am trying to figure out the smoothest way to transition.

I want to make sure I don't create any gaps in my work authorization or status. I have a few specific questions about the mechanics of the move:

1. Is the application identical to the first time? If I choose to go to a Port of Entry (POE) or airport Preclearance, do I just bring a fresh employer support letter, my original degrees/transcripts, and pay the standard fee? Will they evaluate it completely from scratch?

2. When should I resign? At what exact point is it safe to give my current employer notice that I'm quitting? I don't want to resign only to face issues or delays with the new application.

3. Concurrent TN for notice periods: Is it possible to hold concurrent TN authorizations? Ideally, I’d like to get my new TN approved, come back, and legally work out a 1 or 2-week notice period with my old employer before starting the new role. Do I need to explicitly ask the CBP officer for a "concurrent TN" so they don't cancel my active one?

If anyone has gone through a CSA employer change recently (especially at the border), I would highly appreciate your insights or timeline tips. Thanks!
