us buyers > uk buyers

this past year, vinted linked the uk and us marketplaces . leaving the two able to purchase and ship to one another . just like uk , france , and germany .

any american sellers wanting to get their payout quickly , avoid uk shipping or accounts lol . from california , the process took 2.5 weeks just to arrive to an InPost locker [amazon locker equivalent] . the uk buyer then has 15 DAYS to retreive it before it gets returned back to the seller .

compared to shipping domestically , the buyer has 48hrs from delivery to raise an issue before payout is automatically dispersed

^ this happened to me and i'm STILL waiting on the return process to initiate . i let a uk account buy an item without exchanging any messages . after i spammed her a few times once it delivered she said on the fourth day after it had been sitting in a locker, "Hello, I haven’t received information on how to pick it up"

girl you gotta bsffr rn .

20 days later . you cant even leave a negative review for the buyer because the return process should trigger automatically after [according to crumby vinted support] 21 business days . im tight asf . i make it explicitly clear on my profile there's no uk shipping now

long story short , beware of uk buyers unless you've seen that their account/profile is reasonably active

no more free shipping :(

vinted has blown up a bit more in the united states , always heard of it in passing but was overshadowed in my mind by poshmark , depop , mercari , whatnot , etc.

finally hopped on the in app in late february '26 , free shipping started being offered to US buyers and stayed that way up until may 20th . some items still have free shipping denoted depending on parcel size and location , but free shipping regardless of zipcode and size is no more

p.s. * depop is offering free shipping as of right now [ 20 may 2026]
