I am trying to wrap my head around sandboxed google play services
I just installed GOS last night on a pixel 8a and am wanting to use the phone as degoogled as possible. The main google service I still use is gmail, but I can always access that on a computer.
Well I have a few other apps that aren't on f-droid or anything. Apps like clash of clans, banking apps (can probably just use a computer though), paypal, discord (like 80% of how I talk to friends) pikmin bloom, etc. Would I just need to use the google play store for these?
I've read that sandboxed google play services basically means that it acts as an actual app without superuser privileges, but like what does that mean? If I install it and the play store, would google be tracking me 24/7 just like before?
