Pc won’t turn on after AMD drivers downgrade
Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me figure out this nightmare of a problem. Before I explain the actual problem keep in mind that I’m no expert, I built my pc alone and it was all perfe fine before all this.
I was trying to play subnautica 2 but the official patch-notes said that I had to downgrade my amd drivers from 2.26 I believe to 2.23~ ish I don’t remember the exact number at the moment but it was the version before the latest one. I install it as the and site tells me and the pc restarts automatically as it would with any other update /et all fine.
I suddenly hear it turn off and boom, dead. I try turning it back on and ever lights up with the exception of my motherboard now having a red dot on the “cpu” and a yellow one on the “fan” symbols.
I tried literally everything, unplugged fans, external devices, doing a bios uodate with a usb stick, tried with just one ram, without the gpu, replaced the thermal paste (yeah, I’m really despe and have no idea what is going on), tried doing the reset of the motherboard by detatching the little battery for 15 min and then tried again, EVERYTHING. I’m going crazy at this point. I did one last try without plugging anything, the pc actually turns on except from when I plug in the Cpu 4+4 cables.
If any kind soul have actually some kind of explanation to all this mess I’d be so grateful, I just want to know what to replace and what to buy to fix this…Thank you!
