I was affected by the flooding. I rent a basement unit. All of my things are damaged and destroyed... i am by myself. I have no family here. It's just me I end three cats. my landlord didn't give me a fan or a dehumidifier, but told me to be out of the apartment with all of my belongings by Monday so the restoration company can come, fix the property. I have 2 days to pack my entire apartment up with no help.
To add, I have insurance, but no one has come out to look at the property or assess the damage and I can't get through to them at all.I've left eight messages to the adjuster.
I was wondering, if anyone is in the same kind of situation that I am in, and how everyone is feeling and dealing with this?
I recently started a new job. Love the job. I am having a great time. However the people are making it difficult.
Backstory: a guy I worked with got my number off a coworker who I hit it off with the first couple of weeks prior .... without my permission!
This man relentlessly texted me every day and would get "agitated" when I didnt respond in a timely manner. And insinuated more than once that he was interested which I told him more than once that I wasnt interested. But the texts continued.
He has repeatedly made me look bad at work but said he was "helping me" which actually set me back.
I hadn't responded to a message. Because I was busy getting a manicure. I said "sorry, I was busy getting my nails done" he said "let's see" i sent him one Pic of just my thumb..... the next day I come in to work and he has that picture as his wallpaper on his phone. I told him i felt uncomfortable and that he needed to change it. Which he respected and did.
Over the Easter weekend I took a step back as he was texting constantly... and if I didn't reply in a timely manner i would open my phone to countless missed messages and WhatsApp messages.
He asked in person on the Friday what I was up to for the weekend and I said I am going to visit family and some friends which he responded to " okay I wont text too much because I know you will be with the fam" a word for word quote from him. The entire weekend BLEW up my phone. I didnt respond much as I was busy but I did get fed up and finally told that I do not want to be texting back and fourth everyday and I didnt want him to feel as if I was obliged to reply to him and to honestly stop texting me everyday. One day passes and I get a message after work about something completely random that I cannot relate to. ( This was most of his messages too, just random rambling about things) i didn't reply because I didn't know what to say.It's not like we were having a conversation and we didn't talk all day either in person or through text.
About an hour later, I get another message:
" Sorry last little thing. I know I text a ton but bottom line is I'm not sure you know but I know you're single and I'm not ever going to be interested so let's put that behind us please. Thanks! C ya in da morning "
I woke up to that and I said bro wtf? Good for you? But who says that just RANDOMLY because I didn't reply to you and why not say that on any other given day? So I said, none of this anymore, i'm just gonna make it easy and blocked his number and said you can only message me on whatsapp.If it has to do with work during work hours please.
A couple of days have gone by and things have been fine, I haven't heard from him, however, now I'm hearing from other people that we work with that he is going around. Telling people that I am crazy and insane.
I finally decided to go to my boss about this.
AITAH for going to my boss because he's already made me feel uncomfortable and now telling coworkers that i'm insane and crazy?
Just a really quick edit and add: the girl who gave him my number wanted to know all the tea at first. But now she doesn't want to hear anything about it.And not be involved and "doesnt want to hear it" . SHE GAVE HIM MY NUMBER WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.
