Custom INDX Hat

I have a Prusa Edition 4t INDX on order, and I'm thinking of designing a hat to replace the mmu-like one to provide a flat surface for dryboxes etc (I have more vertical space available than horizontal). Is there a drawing somewhere with dimensions for the geometry of the Core One frame top and INDX tube holder thingy (I don't know what to call it... that part that lives under the hat), and maybe the hat itself (so I can design around compatibility with the stock vent)?

If not, can anyone with an FE unit provide measurements for:

  • Where the vent is relative to the Core One frame top
  • At what angle the vent sits
  • Measurements/relative locations on the panel for vent openings and mounting holes for movable piece
  • Height of the top of [the part under the hat] relative to the Core One frame top (this is so I know how tall the hat needs to be)
    • I assume that represents the maximum needed height, am I wrong?
  • Spacing/Size of filament sensor block mounting holes (I can derive these from the models myself if necessary, it's just harder)

My thinking is to provision for 8 filament paths with bowden fittings coming out of the rear of the top of the hat, or else the top rear, mounting the filament sensors in a suitable place in front of them (accounting for minimum bend radius will I'm sure be a pain. Maybe a vertical mount would make sense, with the sensors above the fittings or something. Open to thoughts!

Worst case, of course, I figure this all out when I have the unit in hand, but where's the fun in that? 😄

If I am completely daft, let me know :)

Prime Day Filament Storage/Dryer on a budget

I was laid off recently, and while I have plenty saved I'm feeling a bit anxious about unnecessary expenditures. That said, I ordered INDX when it went up for preorder and I want some suitable filament storage solution that can sit on top of the printer (with an appropriate hat or adaptation for that purpose) to save horizontal space and store 4 spools (as I ordered the 4 tool version).

The spacepi x4 seems pricey, and I'm not really sure active drying is really needed... Reviews seem to suggest that the spacepi x4 doesn't seal especially well anyway.

What I'm leaning toward at the moment is two of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0G3NJ2CRM?th=1 with the expectation that the heater base might be a later upgrade (if sold separately?) but I'm not sold yet. I've thought about maybe one + one with the base, or going full on budget mode and rigging up a plastic bin based storage solution.

What do you all think is a sensible option?

PS: I was already anti AI in the general case for ethical reasons, but now its personal lol

US Tariffs Struck Down, partial refunds possible?

Supreme court jiggery pokery not withstanding, might partial refunds for the portions of order prices attributable to the tariffs be expected at some point?
