My driving licence expired without me realizing it, so I built an app to solve the problem
A while ago, I randomly checked my driving licence and found it had already expired. I hadn't received any reminder, I had simply forgotten about it.
That made me look at the rest of my important documents, and I realized how scattered everything was.
Insurance PDFs were in WhatsApp, PUC in Downloads, passport scans in Photos, warranties in email, and physical documents were sitting somewhere at home.
So I built Dokzo.
The idea is pretty simple: add a document once, and Dokzo keeps your important documents organized, extracts useful details like document numbers and expiry dates, and gives you smart reminders before something expires.
I wanted it to work particularly well for common Indian documents. Privacy was also important to me while building it, the actual documents stay on your device rather than being uploaded to our servers. No ads and no selling your data.
It's now live on Android and iOS, and I'm slowly trying to get it in front of people beyond my own network.
Would be great to get some feedback from you guys if you give it a try. I'm especially interested in what you like, what feels unnecessary, and what you'd want it to do better.
