What are the weirdest places in Delaware?
What are the weirdest places you’ve found in Delaware? My exploration so far is limited to N Wilmington, but so far, I’ve got:
The Oddporium: Ouija boards, preserved animals, sometimes they have impromptu chemistry experiments and light things on fire
Cossart Rd: Delaware’s haunted road, the skull tree, DuPonts summoning the devil?
Arden: a subdivison, but also a utopian community with guilds and a labyrinth
Speaking of labyrinths, the Delaware Art Museum also has one inside an old circular reservoir
The Crowninshield gardens at Hagley: was built to look overgrown and abandoned, and now it genuinely overgrown and abandoned
The Coffin Gardens: sounds more macabre than it is, was designed by Marianne Coffin, a pioneering woman landscape architect that also designed significant portions of Winterthur; overlooked by a decaying mansion
