There are no simple answers to the question of data centers in the FXBG area. Anyone who says differently is selling something.
My parents 77M and 74F are both in declining health and struggling to live independently— cooking, bathing and other household tasks. They recently expressed an openness to assisted living.
Can anyone recommend a quality center preferably one that meets most of the following:
- within ~20 minute drive of downtown Fred
- allows couples to share an apartment style room
- has a memory care option
- offers shuttle service to offsite medical appointments
We toured Spring Arbor and it seemed like a good fit, but we are looking to compare other options.
The Commonwealth Housing Coalition— a coalition of pro-housing organizations led by YIMBY Action—successfully passed five housing supply bills through the General Assembly this session. All are awaiting the Governor’s signature with a deadline of April 13.
Local governments and Civic associations fought all of these bills throughout the General Assembly session on the grounds of “preserving local control” (to block affordable housing) and are now lobbying the Governor to veto them. Spanberger has been mum on housing supply bills that pre-empt local land use authority, so her support is not assured.
Tell the Governor you support legislation to improve housing affordability by removing barriers to creating more affordable homes!
