EP 4: Found a Hutton mug! + Inside second conda cockpit EXPOSED

I've been ripped off! oh well, back to Hutton I guess...

Probably some of the last footage before I try put together a trailer. I've made a lot of progress with interiors (Note all assets used here are placeholders I just quickly modeled. Actual interiors I want to look as seamless as possible).

You can see the stairs working, interactions with objects, moving doors, lighting, textures, transparent glass.. I probably need to add something to dampen the controller movement. I'm not that shaky in real life. I hope.

I realised last week that I have been thinking way, way, WAY too small with this project and there are unheard of possibilities. But that will probably have to wait for the trailer..

The Anaconda has a huge cockpit just begging for interactivity

Sorry for shaky VR, I don't think I'm shaking that much in real life?

I've figured out one way to walk around in VR inside the cockpit (with the controller so I'm not limited by play space), and dam. It is actually a lot of fun to walk up to the windows and watch planets go by.

Are there any other ships apart from the Panther with a big space to explore like the conda?

The Most Boring Mod Ever (proof of concept)

I apologise for the footage quality, this was the only way I could figure out how to record it at this stage. But apparently ship interiors are so boring, you'd be asleep before the video even finishes.

The actual model used is a placeholder, just to show it's possible.

Is this of any interest to Commanders?

Scarlet Krait every time when trying to board while in on foot combat

Does anyone else have this problem right now? I haven't done much on foot combat until now, so I have no idea if I've always had it.

In NZ, and this is a server connection issue, so maybe I need to try using a VPN to the country of the nearest server. Anyone know where that might be?

Arch Linux, wivrn VR, Proton GE 10-34.

I don't ever have problems except for occasional crashes when doing large (20+) numbers of neutron jumps.

I'm fairly certain this also happens outside of VR. It's done it several times tonight and killed my vibe (and my commander) so I guess I'll try test it again tomorrow.

Some more detail:

It happens during settlement raids or any on foot combat. I'll return to my ship or SRV, even just after combat is all done and the music has stopped, and I'll sit and wait for 30+ seconds and get the error.

On the other hand, I did an Operation for the first time today and that was totally fine

Keep getting disconnects when trying to board ship while being attacked on foot?

Anyone else have this issue? I decided to book it when reinforcements showed up, hit the blue tunnel of despair, and then sat for 30 seconds or more, and then disconnected.

Same thing happened 20 minutes later. The whole time in the background I can hear fighting still going on, (shields offline/online, vital signs bla bla) and I'm just staring at the black box in the grey void waiting and waiting.

VR, but I think I've had the same issue with 2D as well

PSA for progenitor cells in Colonia

If you're having trouble finding them, which you will be, check the missions in Jacques Station.

I got my 200 doing missions, and I've been doing more missions to load my carrier and sell them.

You can usually get one or two missions that will give you ~40 cells. Could also check Colonia Hub.

Asura > Randgnid > Carcosa > Einheriar?

Just so I'm clear on the strategy to try get as many completed CGs as possible,

Is this the priority order that everyone is going for?

The order of percentages thus far is:

35.3% > 7.8% > 5.3% > 1.2%

Seems like Asura is a sure thing. Randgnid likely, but Carcosa and Einheriar are a bit of a stretch given we only got 1 week.

I have some complaints about fleet carriers.

Why can I not set an amount to sell? What if I don't want to sell all of something??

Also,
Ideally, we would refill the tank with these steps:

  1. Move tritium to tank.

But instead its:

  1. Move tritium to loading dock.
  2. Load ship
  3. Unload ship again
  4. Staff complain
  5. HR raises issues at board meeting of why staff have to perform arbitrary carting around of tritium like it's the fleet carrier offspring that needs a little walk around before it's burned.
  6. Apologies and extra wages to appease the staff.
  7. Tritium finally gets moved to tank
