Doubled my investment on FLT today. Cut my average cost in half in the process.

Other than an overreaction by the market, I think Trump's tarriffs on drones is a positive for a Canadian company. The tarriffs are really about keeping China out of the US market, but they should also drive Canada and NATO to accelerate their non-US sourced drones.

If we start to get some announcements to that effect, this could take off. If not, I tihnk 50 cents is a pretty solid low without much more room to drop.

My portfolio is just getting hammered on my metals and miners. Down 20-40% on a variety of names (I bought many of them when they were already 40-60% off their ATHs, figuring that was a relative discount, got that one wrong).

My assumption is they are getting smashed because US yields are going up. I know they are good long-term investments, but I gotta admit, this is testing my pain threshold. I don't know if I can take a 50-60% loss on these names and not lose my mind.

What do you guys do in situations like this? Just suck it up and hold on for the ride? Or bail and save what you can?

If the nausea in my gut is any indication, this feels like the bottom.

If not for ADF Group, I think I'd be ready to pull my hair out today.

Stepped on a landmine a few weeks ago with Chemtrade Logistics (got hit 18% in a day... it's since come back and I'm in the green, but that day sucked). But today I got my first single-day big pop with Mattr. I bought three traunches of it over the past 1.5 months (I'm big on infrastructure names right now) and it blasted off today.

They make sewage pipes and covering for electrical wires and stuff. Very boring, infrastructure stuff. Did not expect it to rally this hard in one day.

Anyway, I'll now proceed to hold it and ride it down 23%.

But it's nice to get a big one-day win (been a couple months since I had one).

Man, I gotta fix this. I keep selling too early. I had Cenovus and when I was up 50% I sold... and it went up another 50%. I had Aecon Group and I was up 45% and I sold... and it's up another 20% I think.

Anyone else have this issue? I can pick a good investment, but I tend to bail too early. And when I don't bail, that's when it crashes back down on me!
