Just bought a CPO 2023 Mercedes EQS 450 a week ago and noticed a pretty noticeable humming/vibration noise around 55–65 mph on the right front side every time we curve right. Dealer test drove it with us and confirmed they could hear it, but came back saying “it’s just the tires and is normal, that's just the way it is". There's no other issues they found and the car otherwise drives fine.
Trying to figure out if this is actually normal EQS behavior or if we’re being brushed off.
For other EQS owners:
- Do your cars make a noticeable humming/drone during right turns at highway speeds?
- Has anyone had this turn out to be wheel bearings, tire cupping, foam tires, etc.? I believe we have the run flat tires.
- If it was tire-related, did rotating the tires fix it? Our tread on all 5 tires is around 5.85.
Would appreciate any insight since this is a very recent CPO purchase and we’re trying to determine what’s actually “normal.”
