How do I get comfortable wearing wigs?

School is starting soon and I usually get box braids but they don’t last long and I don’t have the money to get them redone every month so I wanna start wearing wigs n half wigs. But I feel silly when I do and feel like everyone can tell. But my hair is very short and brittle and can only go into a bun or slick back due to years of heat damage. I see other girls wear wigs and sometimes can’t tell and when I do I don’t see a problem and think they still look really pretty but I can’t get myself used to it. Any tips or advice or other hair styles I could try? (I’m also mixed with a white mom so my hair journey has been rough)

Causal vs busy cities do college students

Hi I’m a soon to be college student in a small town in Ohio, I’m looking at colleges far away as I don’t care for Ohio and want something new and different. But I’m nervous about moving to big cities like Cali or Az when I’ve barely left my town my whole life. I’m an introvert but am planning on being more outgoing and worry choosing a big city would be too overwhelming. Has anyone ever made that big move and would u do choose somewhere not so big or busy ig? Or does anyone have some insight on the differences between causal and big busy cities that could help me decide?

What’s the best career for an accounting major?

I’m planning on going to school for accounting because it makes stable money, it seems like the work would be similar to schoolwork which I’m pretty good at (structure wise), and I don’t have a passion that would make me enough money to live how comfortable I want. But where or what accounting jobs should I look for and prepare for like forensic accounting, public accounting, financial analysis, plain managing money, or a financial auditor? My dream role would be a role that will pay good not take 10 years to get paid decently and not super stressful and an extreme enough of work (don’t know if that last part is reasonable or not). And if you don’t know what career I should lean tell me some pros and cons about your current position/career. And advice would be super helpful!

Does it get better?

I’m 17(F) I’m finishing high school soon and live in a smallish town in Ohio so there’s nothing to do unless you have a car or friends or money (I don’t have any but I’m working on it). I’ve given up on making friends here since it never seems to work out for me and I’ll be leaving for college in a year. But for the last four years of high school I’ve done nothing. I have good grades but I moved schools a lot growing up and never really got good at making friendships or being apart of a community (usually because I don’t really click with a lot of people but I try and it’s harder to relate with people when you haven’t experienced a lot or don’t talk to anyone besides family and your best friend ). I usually stay at home and find smt to do so I don’t go crazy. I’ve been focused on bettering myself, saving up money, experimenting with new looks, and doing my online driving school. But I’m worried once I get to college it’ll be the same thing. I plan to be more out going and try to be social and make friends but I’ve heard people say their experience was the same as high school and I mentally cannot handle that. So does it get better with a new environment? Are there any tips you have that would make the college experience better ? And maybe make up for some of experiences I missed in high school?
