I am pregnant 🌻

Hi gals and afab friends,

I've been using a mestrual cup for some years now, but i am currently pregnant (yay!) and thus taking a break from periods.

I have an allmatters (formerly organicup) in the smaller size, and i'm wondering if i'll still be able to use it after having the baby. I'm planning on a c section, but i've read that it doesn't matter and you would still need a larger cup.

What have been your experiences? Did you need a different cup after giving birth? Did your periods change in the months and years after?

Partners at birth?

Hi all,

I am 17 weeks pregnant and planning for a c section. My question for you, regardless of the way baby came out, is did you have your partners with you at birth? Was it helpful?

I'm trying to figure out whether to try and have my partner with me in the room. I think c sections can involve some gruesomeness and my guy is a bit squeamish. He said he's willing to be there for me if i think it would help, but i don't want to stress more about his reactions than my own. 😅

I can't quite tell what it will be like for any one of us, since this is our first pregnancy. I tend to emotionally regulate better on my own in hard situations, but i've also gotten some bad vibes during/after dental extractions for example, and maybe having a loved one close by might be helpful.

What are your experiences? Was the dad there, was it meaningful or comforting, or more stressful? Would there be a difference if it's a c section or vaginal delivery, since one gives the mom more of an active role that perhaps needs cheering on? Thanks 🌻

Happy chia seeds

This morning my partner made our cornflakes bowls and as we were eating he told me he added chia seeds, because he read i need fiber and chia seeds have a lot of fiber. 🌻

I thought it was so sweet and such a cute way to start the day. The internet tends toward the gloomy side, so i thought i'd share this one tiny happy thing.
