Need help
So I ended up with a 4 months old dogo argentino because of a relative's passing and I don't know what to do. I've never had any dog before, which makes it all much more complicated, especially because this is a dangerous breed. I don't think it's been trained or something, but I am no specialist, I genuinely don't know anything about dogs. I tried to go on a walk with the dog but when we left the house, it just sat in place and would not move. I know he probably has to get used to me, but he has to go outside, obviously. He keeps on chewing shoes and bringing them to the place where he sleeps (i don't know how it's called in english, sorry) even despite the fact he has a chewing toy, and even when I call him by his name and tell to leave it, he doesn't listen. He roamed around the house like twice, but that's the most he did. He mostly just lays down and sleeps. I tried to search for some type of basic training, but all I could find was dog training for hunting. I'm sorry if this isn't the appropiate sub to ask this, but I would really appreciate some overall tips and facts about this breed.
