Landmarks of techdeath (timeline)

I made a list of some of my favourite — and what I think are some of the most important — across the lifetime of the genre. I think it's quite poetic that things have really come full circle with space themed jazzy/proggy thrash influenced tech with the mew cryptic shift album.

I do really love a list. My musicboard account is bankswole and rym is beankole for anyone who is interested. I rate or review literally everything I listen to. What do you guys think of this list?

Fantastic doomy melodeath

This is so good man, I had never heard it because it's labelled as an EP on rym. This is a beautiful mix of melodeath, doom, and a bit of melodic black metal. Quite proggy song structures but key melodies often repeat to give a good amount of familiarity.

A lot is really well produced for this time period. Genuinely so many things to enjoy. The drums are also much more varied than you get in a lot of melodeath which really elevate the energy especially on slower sections.
