best souvenirs to ask for (most worth it)

Hey guys I’m not going to Japan myself but my sister is, and she’s been asking me what I want her to bring back for me but I have no idea what to ask for. It’s her first time going to Japan and I have never been. Of course I could ask her to bring me a cute little souvenir like a keychain or something like that, but I really wanna make use of this opportunity to ask for something useful or worth it that I either wouldn’t be able to get here in Canada or it’s way cheaper there etc.

What things are the most worth it? I also don’t really want any food or snacks.

Side question, I’ve really been wanting to upgrade my Sony digital camera and have been wanting the canon g7x but it’s like $2k if I were to buy it here. Does anyone know if it’s cheaper over there? I’d actually give my sister money to bring me back a good quality camera if it’s actually worth it. I read somewhere that some people bring electronics from Japan so I’m wondering about cameras.

help!! paradoxical hypertrichosis :((

TLDR: this post haven longer than expected so basically the summary is that I did at home laser last year, got lazy and gave up, and now my hair feels way more stronger and even waxing won’t pull the hair out from its roots. My armpit skin used to be normal and smooth but now they’re always sweaty and ingrowns and pimples. The hair in my armpit doesn’t even come out at the root when I wax or use the epilator they just break/snap. My legs have the same problem with the hair being strong but I also get these ingrown hairs that I can pop and white stuff with the hair comes out. The ingrown hairs are NOT inflamed at all, zero redness or pain or anything.

hi everyone, I usually never post but I haven’t found any specific posts or threads about what I’m looking for. Basically, I knew nothing about PH and and saw a bunch of tiktok videos about at home laser last year which really caught my attention because I have thick hair and light skin tone, so I bought a cheap one (I think it was around $150-200) from Amazon and tried it out. It takes me really long to do any large body parts but I tried it anyways and started seeing my hair grow back less which made me happy.

I then started doing other body parts, like my inner thighs/bikini and underarms. I even started doing my side burns because I was in love with the idea of being hairless lmaoo😂 I eventually got lazy and stopped lasering, and after a few months I was shocked when I started seeing my hair change.

My armpits used to grow thick black hair, but not a lot and the skin on my armpits were always smooth and light. NOW my armpits are disgusting, it feels like the skin itself has changed and became thicker? I don’t know how to explain. My armpits will have ingrown hairs 24/7 now and I feel like there’s more hair growing than before. I went back to epilating my armpits because that worked just fine before since my hair was dark but not a lot but I’m finding that the epilator does not even pull my hair out anymore??? It’s as if my hair is super strong and literally stuck in my armpit skin. Most of my armpit hairs will just snap or break with the polar or and the root won’t fully come out like before. Is this normal?

It’s not only on my armpits but that is currently the most problematic area. My sideburns grow more hair too now :( but the skin is still the same. It didn’t make me grow a full beard but I can clearly see some strands of hair being darker or thicker. I wish I knew about PH before even trying this and I feel so so stupid. I feel like I got PH all over my body even though online I read it’s mostly on hormonal areas. My inner thighs (not even bikini) are now growing thick black hair but not a lot. Sparse, but thick and dark. The skin on my inner thighs is really thin so the thick hair growing out of them gives me ingrowns now and my inner thighs all the way down to my mid thighs are not scarred with spots :(((( even the back of my knees? Like my knee pit has not many strands but thick and dark strands which become ingrown and I’m guessing the fact that it’s my “knee pit” doesn’t help with the folded and creases.

I feel like the laser changed my skin and made my skin thicker in a sense? I hope this makes sense. Even on my shins or calves, I’ll find ingrown hairs and pop them and hard white “pus” comes out of them including a hair but the ingrown hair is not inflamed or pimple looking AT ALL. it will just be a regular spot and when it’s popped some white stuff comes out with the hair in it. This is happening all over my body but my legs and armpits are the worst.

I read that electrolysis is the best thing and I’m considering that for my face because I refuse to put laser on my face ever again😭 but it’s so expensive and I’m just a broke student. I also read electrolysis is normally for smaller areas like how am I going to get electrolysis for my entire legs????? My entire arms??? I’ve resorted to manually plucking my armpit hairs because that way I can watch and ensure the entire root comes out but it’s difficult to get every single one especially the ingrowns. I now have scars and my armpits have became darker when before they were smooth and light with just sparse dark hair growing :(

I can’t find anything online about this specifically and it’s driving me crazy I felt like I’ve researched so much. WHAT DO I EVEN DO😭 I’m really scared to continue the laser because I really don’t want to make it worse but why did I see results while I was doing the laser and now one year later my entire skin and hair has changed.
It feels like the laser made my hair STRONGER and even when I wax my legs now it won’t even pull out every single hair. A lot of them get broken or snapped. My armpit hair struggles to pop out of the skin now and I keep getting pimples and ingrowns no matter what I do, my armpits are not even waxable anymore.

Do I try to continue the laser now or is it too risky? I’m trying to search for a laser clinic but I’m scared of going somewhere less professional and having them just continue the laser/not care and make things worse too. Plus it’s so expensive so I don’t want to waste more money. I know laser is not permanent hair removal but even if it could just get thinner or atleast go back to how it was that would be great.

Btw if anyone knows any good KNOWLEDGABLE laser clinics in or around Montreal that would be great.
