Black Grail Shield, Corpse Guard, Automatic. various interaction questions.

Playing a match with a corpse guard (CG) with Black Grail Bodyguard (BGBG) wielding a black grail shield (BGS) getting shot by a heavy flamethrower (HFT) (Automatic{2}) who has a grail thrall (GT) standing within 1" to him.

here is my questions.

Interaction between BGS and BGBG: If target a unit with a ranged weapon and they interpose with the BGBG ability, can the BGS be used as well? the BGBG is triggered after the hit is decided and the BGS is triggered before the hit is decided, so i think no but they think yes.

Interaction between BGS and AUTOMATIC(X) Keyword: does each shot get it's own roll for the BGS penalty, does only 1 shot get to roll for the penalty and the remaining shot unaffected, or does only 1 roll get made and the penalty is applied to all subsequent shots on a success? I believe each shot from AUTOMATIC gets its own BGS trigger, as each shot gets its own Success Roll to be made.

Interaction between BGS and FLAMETHROWER Keyword: the FLAMETHROWER does not roll for success to hit, can the BGS still roll for the crit to fully negate the attack? I believe it can because a crit with the BGS penalty negates the attack regardless of the result on a Success Roll, if there was one.

How far should I expect to get in Shadowlands (Challenge)?

My account name is m1lfr3d. Could someone take a look and check how far I should reasonably get in shadowlands (challenge) with my current roster of dudes?

Im stuck on stage 2 atm but idk if its cuz my roster needs work or just cuz im bad at dodging skills/finding good attack windows?

With my current roster I plan to use Hercules for damage, m'baku as the leader, and idk for support with the strong and combat restriction. I was thinking of T2 for beast to get his support skill but idk if there a better one? Preferably one that I can get sooner rather than later.

Is this ghost rider physical or energy based?

The quick profile lists him as physical and flame but the skills all list energy damage scaling except for 1 of them, which is physical but, like, does that one skill really scale that much better than the other 4?

Basically which damage type should I build for physical or energy?

Is there a reason Sentry's base stats seem so much higher than anyone else?

Like, I'm just curious.

I've played a ton of mobile games in this random-pull, slow-grind style.

I have never seen one with an F2P character be so aggressively strong and viable in every game mode.

Especially not for as long as Sentry has been.

Usually, if this happens its an accident, and they quickly power-scale the game or nerf the strong F2P to encourage money spending.

I love this game for stuff like this.

Very tall units fighting over a trench wall??

So if my model (Say Bull or Praetor height) is in a trench, and a model is on top of that trench wall (Like they were about to drop in but didnt have the movement alloted so just went up to the wall).

can my praetor do a charge and go tight up against the wall and be in melee with them? does the models within 1" for melee rule account for vertical distance or just horizontal?

i get it for a model that is small obviously cant reach up a wall, but in my mind it makes sense a huge unit can reach over the trench wall easily and thus could punch someone.

thoughts?

What is the point of putting units into z-tier boost for PvP when there is 0% chance it will make them viable?

I feel like I have seen that red yard rat goku in z-tier since birth.

Yet there has been no amount of zenkai boosts on the planet that would make him viable in the PvP scene for the last like 5 years.

Why is he there? Am I missing something? Is he secretly OP?

Sappers and Engineers drop mines in melee?

Can these units set a mine while engaged in melee range?

The ability doesnt say they can't so i assume they can mechanically. But like real world function makes this feel odd. Like I can't just drop down and place a mine while someone is trying to stab my face with a bayonet.

Additionally, if this can be done RAW, then would the other melee combatant set it off on their turn if the mined area is in contact with them?

Under Detonating Mines ability it lists "When a model moves into contact with s mined terrain piece". So like since they activating while touching it, but don't "move" into it, does it get set off or no?

Seems like no RAW but I'm not sure.

Trench Companion really slow for anyone else?

I know this isnt the trench companion support page or anything but ive just noticed recently that trench companion has been running very slow(Mobile and desktop versions), has anyone else here noticed this?

has anyone found anything that fixes it?

i tried deleting cookies and stuff like that but it hasnt helped.

Should Hit get a special yellow card animations?

So some characters without Ki like Hercule throw rocks, and characters who use weapons tend to shoot them like bulma and the gammas.

In the Anime and Manga Hit specifically doesnt use ki blasts but he does do this invisible long range punch thingy.

Wouldn't it be cool if Hit units got a unique long range tap and yellow animation since we know they do make them for units fairly often.

I know they won't end up doing this cuz it would mean going back and re-doing all the old Hit units along with future ones but I still think it'd be cool.

Or am I wrong and we actually do have a reference for Hit throwing ki that I don't recall?
