Panorama Ridge Hike

Hi everyone! Thinking about doing the Panorama Ridge Hike during the first week of September. I plan on doing it with some friends (ones who have some casual hiking experience).

In terms of hiking experience, I have some, I’ve done the Salkantay Trek in Peru recently over the span of 3-4 days however. The largest one day hike I’d say was a 20km hike with 700m elevation gain at 4000 metres which took me about 8-10 hours. I have done other smaller day hikes, that are 800m elevation gain, about 10-15km long. In terms of my current fitness level, I workout 4 times a week and play sports casually 1-2 times a week.

How doable is Panorama Ridge Hike in one day? I also plan on doing a smaller hike the day before or two days before (quite limited on time). Also what are some tips and must haves for this hike?

If you guys don’t think it’s doable in one day, what are some other hikes you’d recommend that’s very rewarding?

Thanks!

New Snowboard

Hi everyone, looking to get my significant a snowboard as a gift. They’re pretty advanced, and were actually going to Japan in the winter for a trip so would like them to use the new board in Japan. We are located in the east coast in New York, so we ride mostly fake snow, groomers, etc. No interest in park, occasionally hit jumps but that’s about it. Basically looking for an all-rounder board, can handle pow, but also handle east coast conditions like groomers! We do occasional trips to bigger resorts as well. Any recommendations/help would be appreciated, thanks!
