Recommendations for shallow pouring
Hi all, I've been creating with resin for about 5 years now, mainly creating art and using molds for deep pours. Over the last few months i started venturing into pick guards for guitars, and despite having my usual work down to a science for successful curing, this shallow pour just isnt working for me! Once cured it's not tacky, but can bend or flex. It isnt losing its shape, either. Is the flex normal for a shallow pour?
I've now poured with 3 different types of epoxy resin, made 'controls' with no mica or dye added, and paid close attention to curing environment and cant get a guard that doesnt flex when I bend it. Im looking for any tricks or recommendations from those experienced with pick guards or shallow pours to acheive a truly hard cure. Thanks!
