[SPOILER] hot take on the finale

i binged Ozark in a couple weeks. i absolutely loved it until season 4. i was so lost the entire time. it kind of seemed like they had to hurry and throw some sort of ending together.

but my hot take is: i would have actually liked the ending if it was Wendy that died instead of Ruth.

Wendy is absolutely insufferable. her constant nagging and screeching made me want to be deaf. i would have felt like it would have been a good ending if the soulless, evil (insert explicative of your choice) had been removed from everyone’s lives and they could all go on peacefully.

Ruth was a real one. the extinction of the Langmore’s was a bit unnecessary IMO. i would have liked them to have had more to do within the story. also, why did Three barely exist? why even have him if literally no one cared about him?

anyway. still a good show. just some opinions.

avoidant ex left me over text after 10 years and marriage.

he first framed it like he wanted space, but when i asked to see him (oops), he then said “he has feelings, but not where they need to be to keep trying”. it was very abrupt and out of nowhere, when i asked to talk he said “i won’t change my mind and it’ll be harder for both of us,” and i replied with “okay, well i love you and i want this. but i’ll respect you and give the space you asked for,” and i haven’t talked to him since. that was 2 weeks ago.

he did just have an important family member pass, and he’s delving into his bulletbike hobby really aggressively. he seems like he’s going through something right now. i’m only 26, i’ve been with him for 1/2 my life. i’m wondering if it is time to let go, or if i should be considerate to him and let him sort his brain out. if he wasn’t my husband and someone i spent so much time with, i wouldn’t even be asking. but marriage and the time spent together means a lot to me.

i am starting to focus on myself, and i’ve set some really great goals that i believe i will achieve. i’m in a good spot to let go if needed. but i dont want to abandon someone who i promised i wouldn’t.
