[Lo-fi Jungle] A soundscape inspired by the Australian landscape and Flume’s atmosphere (Made on SP-404)
I’ve been diving deep into blending the raw, gritty energy of Lo-fi Jungle with the lush, atmospheric textures that I’ve always admired in Flume’s sound.
This track came from a very personal place. I spent 6 years living in Tasmania, Australia, and there’s something about the balance of that wild, expansive nature and the urban pulse of cities like Melbourne and Sydney that always stuck with me. Coming back to my hometown of Sendai, I found a similar resonance—a mix of urban life and distant horizons.
I’ve been chasing that "淡く切ない" (faint and bittersweet) yet groovy, rich vibe that Flume masters, but lately, I’ve been channeling it through the breakbeats of Jungle. It’s a crossover experiment, made entirely on my SP-404, following my own intuition.
Would love to hear what you think of this balance between the grit and the atmosphere.
