False “No Loop Signal” Error

My 430X / Charging station seem to think there is no loop signal on the boundary wires, though by using a signal finder, the entire length of wire around my property seems to be connected properly.

A little background… the other day, the mower sliced through a portion of wire that worked itself up high enough to be caught on the blades, I got a repair kit, spliced the two ends together, and have gotten the error since.

The signal finder indicates that the spliced segment is also properly receiving a signal, as well as both sides of the original wire, and everywhere else.

What could be causing the error?

First Brisket

I’m the guy who was wondering if there would be a stall with butcher paper.

I took the advice, and maxed out the temp at 275°. Let it rest for 2 hours, and this was the result. Not too bad for never having done this before, though I wish the fat cap were a little thinner.

It’s pretty tender, the point more so than the flat. But, I expected as much. Wish the bark were a little thicker, too.

Wrapped brisket stall?

I’m smoking my first brisket in a Masterbuilt electric wood chip smoker. It’s not huge. Gotta flat and a point, trimmed to fit. About 8 pounds.

Set the smoker to 225° from the start, and have kept it there. After the brisket hit 160°, I wrapped it and butcher paper and put it back in. Since then, temp has been raising very slowly… only up to 176° after being wrapped for about 6 hours. Is it normal for it to raise so slowly after wrapping?
