Since The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is such a big hit, I wanted to touch bases on what will be the next step in the Mario cinematic universe. I'm just going with the flow tonight, but I feel like an April 2029 release for the Mario Odyssey Movie makes the most sense here considering the fact that the Mario Bros Movie & Mario Galaxy Movie are 3 years apart. Additionally, Mario Odyssey is one of the most successful games out there other than Mario Bros & both Mario Galaxy games.

My prediction on how the Mario Odyssey movie will go is somewhat based on the game. I say somewhat because I noticed that a hint of Mario Kart was added to the Mario Bros Movie, just like how a hint of Mario Bros Wonder was added to the Mario Galaxy Movie. Let-a-me explain!

I remember there was a scene in The Super Mario Bros. Movie where Mario, Peach, Toad & Donkey Kong was racing in their karts on Rainbow Road (one of the most memorable Mario Kart tracks throughout its history.) Furthermore, in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie we get to see the transformation of Bowser Jr. to Wonder Bowser Jr. Afterwards, Mario, Luigi & Yoshi are left to fight him while they're all still at Peach's Castle at that moment.

Moreover, I noticed in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, there was the scene where Mario & Luigi was heading to The Sand Kingdom while riding on motorcycles. After their epic appearance, we can see that they're not only wearing ponchos, but the Bros are surrounded by Tostarenans (the skeleton citizens) before they befriended Yoshi after finding him. In general, I feel like The Super Mario Odyssey Movie will start off with Mario, Peach, & friends relaxing in the Mushroom Kingdom. All of a sudden, Bowser's ship goes towards Peach's Castle while destroying it in the process. Mario & Peach team up to defeat Bowser but Mario gets knocked off the ship by the King of Koopas. Similar to the Mario Odyssey video game, Mario's hat gets torn up, then he lands in The Cap Kingdom which he soon befriends Cappy.
