It's actually insane. The amount of joy that has been posted on every corner of the internet since Gabriel sent his pen into orbit is incredible.
For anything to have been even close it would have to be something else in football because no other sport can sniff it in global reach. I've seen videos from every single part of the world of people celebrating.
In a positive respect, the only thing I can think of is Messi winning the WC, but even then, the Messi/Ronaldo divide is closer to 50/50 than the hate/love split for Arsenal. As far as another hate watch, maybe England at Euros 20/21, but the pandemic and nonsense going on pregame at the stadium places that into a weird zone.
I cannot stop watching all the reactions and replays and memes. It's pure comedy. I don't have a club in the Prem, so it's not tribalism, for me. It's all about the manager, the play style, and the fans. Hate to say it, but they all got what they deserved, last night.
