I drove my e30 convertible, came back home and parked in my garage, I popped open the glove box and was opened the top. And everything stopped working suddenly. Headlamp high beams also not working which used to work while my engine wasn’t running. Only instrument cluster light works. I have check battery links, they are good. What else should I check?
I am looking to buy an E30 and saw this car, 1988 325i convertible. On idling it seems like the motor is making click sound, also the car feels underpowered. The owner told me the car sometimes stalls at the steep hill, but revving up with a foot on brake and releasing it gets the car going up the hill. Tachometer wasn’t working so there is no way to guess how much engine was reviving up. Could it be related to fuel filter or fuel pump? The car hasn’t been driven much in last 4 years and timing belt was done 10 years ago. In 10 years, probably the car has been driven 10k miles or less. The car is selling for 5k, all the seals and top needs to be replaced, also power steering fluids is leaked so there is no power steering in the car at the moment. Brakes are soft
