I have an iPad Air 4th generation and it's time to update my software. Every time I go to install the new OS 26.5 it gives me a pop up asking me if I want to temporarily delete apps to install, I press continue and then nothing happens so I press install again and the same thing happens over and over again. What am I missing and how do I update the software?

P.S. I apologize if I haven't explained this effectively, feel free to ask follow up questions if needed.
