Came across this gem of a song. I thought it needs more attention, so posting it here
I come from a family that always enjoyed music. My father and maternal uncle always play songs and discuss them. My mother always practices singing at home. My uncle plays Tabala and as a kid I used to go through his book and started learning Tabala on my own for a few months. So i always had some influence and touch with musical instruments right from childhood but I unfortunately didn't learn any music or instrument (which i regret now)
When I was in college, i started thinking of music composition but always used to hold back myself since i can't play any instrument. Now at 38, i started learning piano with the aim of composing songs in the next 5 years.
Is this realistically possible. Some of my strengths are, i have a good ear for good music, right from childhood which ever song i liked became a chartbuster, but I'm aware that doesn't necessarily translate to making good music. I hear all kinds of songs and film scores and enjoy them. After i started learning piano, sometimes while driving i find myself humming new melodies, although they are not good i find it as an encouraging sign.
The thing that i feel that's not my strength is, even though i have been involved with music and musical instruments from childhood i feel that i don't have the natural talent or ability to pick up notes or patterns in music. I spent one entire summer with a violin obsessively playing gibberish but it didn't lead no where, so don't think that i have the natural gift.
What does the community think about my endeavours, i already regret having lived this long not making a solid attempt to learn music earlier. I know it's never late but i am looking for constructive and realistic encouragement on if what I'm looking for is achievable.
Hi, I've been on a hunt for a chair on which i can work for 8 hours a day, ofcourse with proper breaks. I tried the sleep company, wakefit, superergo and featherlite chairs in person. I already have back pain, so I'm unable to judge which chair is best. So since i see featherlite chairs being recommended here a lot, i went to FL showroom to give them one more try but even after the second visit, I'm not able to find the right fit for me and everything feels more or less the same.
Here are my observations.
versa feel like it has the best lumbar support of them all but when i try to lock and lean back at the most upright position there is a little wobble and the backrest goes a little further and that position feels uncountable to me, else i would have gone for it.
Amaze feels comfortable, but i see comments that it has very minimal lumbar support, so not sure how it feels in the long run.
Liberate and Enzo feels more or less the same but leaning towards enzo since we can adjust the curve in the lumbar a little bit, so that i have the option to adjust a little in case if i find the chair not a correct fit.
So i find all the chairs more or less the same, so thinking of amaze as it is cost effective than the others.
What's your experience with these chairs. Btw I am 5.11 and 68kgs.
I've been in search of a chair with good lumbar support to ease my back pain. I tried featherlite but the ones on my budget didn't feel that great. It got good reviews on Amazon and looks to be good. But we can't judge a chair by the looks, their website offers 7 day returns, so I'm thinking of trying it out but not sure how their support will be when i try to return. Does anyone have any experience with this chair or the brand.
Hi, i have spent the weekend visiting chair showroom like featherlite, pepperfy, sleepcompany and tried different chairs but I'm unable to assess which chair is comfortable and is good fit for me. I already have a chair which i felt was comfortable but only started to see the problems with it after 10 days and had difficulty to dispose it off. I'm looking to give it away for free for our helper and i don't want to get in a similar position again so I'm being cautious with my buy.
I am 5.11, 65kgs, work for 8 hrs a day, have back pain. I've already invested in a sit and stand desk and need a good chair now. I have tried amaze but it didn't feel like the right fit. The chair that felt the most comfortable one for me was the superergo novice but it doesn't have an adjustable headrest which made it uncomfortable in that department.
Anyone using Featherlite Enzo, can you pls share review. Since it has adjustable lumbar curve, I'm planning to buy it as I'm not sure what kind of chair suits me.
I brought this office chair during lockdown from Chairwale website, after using it for few days i found it very uncomfortable. The top of the back is super bent from the lumbar area, so when i try to lean back, i find myself leaning too far where my head feels heavy. I tried to return it but they said they don't have such option.
Then i switched to using local study chair for the whole of lockdown, the one with long arms where we can put an wooden plak and study. It was ok and didn't find any issues and continued using it for a couple of years. Recently, I'm suffering with back pain and I'm not able to sit for long time at home. I suspect that using this type of chair might have caused damaged.
I recently brought a sit/stand desk and planning to change the chair as well, i tried office chairs from wakefit, ikea, sleep company but didn't find them comfortable. I'm planning to try feather lite as well.
One of my friend has this ikea dining chair (attached in the image) and i find it very comfortable when i sit on it at his house. However i didn't sit on it longer or used it for work. I'm wondering if buying this instead of office chair is a better option. I am also fearful if i would further damage my back buying a wrong chair and if it's ok to use this for longer time. Any one has any experience with chairs like these.
