Help needed from Featherlite Amaze owners.Featherlite amaze Play at 90 degree , position.

I just got my featherlite amaze ,overall seems comfortable.

But there is a play at 90 degree position ,where it doesn't seem fully locked , whenever i sit it sets in a little back ,it is little but still annoying.it is not in anyway loose ,it needs force for play to move it ,but its there.

It locks well at all other positions of recline.

Is it normal to have this much play ?

Can anyone with a amaze helpout.

Got this for 13.5k, Local Shops FTW. Thoughts?

First post!
After a lot of searching on this subreddit, I browsed Geeken and other leading stores in Kirti Nagar, even tried Godrej Greta 2.0 but it didn’t suit my sitting style. I got this from an office furniture shop through someone I know. It’s Chinese, but it does the job of being comfortable and looking pretty aesthetic while I am not sitting on it lol.
What does the audience of this subreddit think? Let me know.

Finally got Superergo Director after months of lurking on this sub!

After months of reading reviews and comparing chairs on this sub, finally pulled the trigger on SuperErgo Director.

A month ago, I had bought the Godrej Interio Greta 2.0 from Flipkart since it was budget-friendly, but it really didn’t work for my height, so I had to sell it off. Wasn’t able to try it out before buying.

Tried it in person at a Pepperfry studio to be sure about the fit and comfort this time.

Price - ~₹29k (directly from their website during Independence Day sale)

Happy to answer any questions if anyone is considering this model!

Bought a brand-new Featherlite Helix for ₹12k, no bill/warranty — good deal?

Hey folks, long chair hunt saga.

At first I was looking at used Herman Miller and Steelcase chairs since my office uses a Steelcase and I was already familiar with that kind of feel. I ended up buying a used Steelcase Think V2, but after using it for a bit I realized I really want a headrest at home because I sometimes use the chair to relax too. The other problem was the no-warranty situation — if anything went wrong, repairs would probably cost way too much compared to what I paid. So I sold it.

After that I started looking for a good used Featherlite Amaze deal, but most sellers were asking almost new price, with like ₹1k–₹1.5k off at best, so it didn’t really make sense once you factor in pickup/transport. Around the same time I checked out the Featherlite Helix in store. I liked it a lot — fixed headrest, but the position felt right for me, good cushion, good posture support, overall just a really comfortable chair. I skipped it then because the price felt too high.

Then I stretched my budget and bought a Sleep Company Flex for ₹17k. Unfortunately the auto-lumbar / back mechanism started acting up pretty quickly, making noise and vibration, and I returned it within the return window. Refund is still pending.

After that I found a deal on a Featherlite Helix for ₹12k. At first I almost skipped it, but then I went to check it out and it turned out to be a brand-new sealed box, manufactured in April 2026 and imported in May 2026. It felt like too good of a deal to pass up, so I bought it.

Now I’m using it and it feels great, but my main concern is still the same — no warranty, no bill, and if anything does fail later, I don’t want to end up in a situation where repairs are super expensive or basically not worth it.

So yeah, I'm curious what people think:

Was ₹12k a solid buy for a sealed Helix?

Any known weak points on this chair I should watch for?

Is there anything I should be extra careful about since there’s no warranty?

Would love to hear from anyone who’s used the Helix long term.

Featherlite Amaze Headrest screw is extremely tight — is this normal?

I recently bought a Featherlite Amaze with the headrest, but I’m having trouble adjusting/installing the headrest because one of the screws is extremely tight.

I’ve attached a picture of the screw. I’ve tried loosening it, but it seems almost impossible to turn without applying a lot of force, and I’m worried about damaging the screw/headrest mechanism.

Would appreciate any advice from other Amaze owners.

How do I remove this gas lift cylinder from my old office chair mechanism?

Hey everyone! I need some help with my office chair.

I have a Wakefit Gravita HighBack Office Chair. Wakefit sent me a replacement tilt/seat mechanism, so I now have the new mechanism ready to install.

The problem is that I need to remove the gas-lift cylinder (the long pole in the photos) from the old mechanism and fit it into the new one.

I can’t figure out how the cylinder is attached to the old mechanism. There doesn't seem to be a normal screw or bolt holding it in place.

How do I safely remove it? Is it just a tight friction/tapered fit? Do I need a pipe wrench or some other tool?

I've attached photos of the old mechanism and gas cylinder. Any advice from someone who's done this before would be really appreciated!

Thanks! 🙏

Got Featherlite Optima. Backrest feels too upright.

Went to featherlite store, checked Amaze, Optima, Helix. Decided to go with Optima.

When the chair was delivered, there was an issue with armrest and lumbar support . They took the chair back and delivered another yesterday.

After the chair was assembled, noticed few issues.

  1. Gap between the seat and arm rest was not same on both sides. It was rectified by the technician after pointing it out.

  2. I feel the back rest is too upright, when I sit against the mesh, my back pushes the mesh slightly inside causing the shoulder to lean forward due to the frame.

I'll have to go back to the store and verify if it's the case with only my chair.

Can't find Featherlite Helix HB Online. What's the next best option?

It's out of stock on both Amazon and Flipkart. Someone please suggest a good alternative around the same budget.

Need help in finalizing chair

I have 2 days work from home so overall I will be using a chair for 20-25 hours/week. My budget is around 8-11k. What I have considered till now:

Wakefit Gravita, GreenSoul (saw bad reviews on reddit so ditched)

Featherlite Amaze High Back (a bit out of budget 13k)

I also went to a refurbished seller (I got contact from Facebook Marketplace) Pasting images I got from there

Herman Miller Mirra started at 13k negotiated to 10k

Has a crack in front plastic near lumbar support other than that everything worked fine ig?

Steelcase Think v1 4.5k (didnt negogiate)

Haworth Zody 8k (didnt negogiate didnt find comfortable as well)

Now I am stuck between either to buy this refurbished one I havent tried toqri or circlestore as of now cause of low reviews. Other option is go over budget and get featherlite amaze one or get without headrest or versa version or just get a local chair and get done with this

I have attached photos of chair from a local vendor as well he priced it at 7-8k may get it at 6-7k

Helix HB Lumbar Support Causing Back Pain After 30 Minutes — What Am I Doing Wrong?

Hi All,

I need some help. I bought the Helix HB chair about 15 days ago and started using it 5 days back. I had tried the chair at the showroom location, and it was super comfortable.

However, the one I received feels completely different. No matter how I adjust the lumbar support, I feel pressure in the center of my back, and it starts hurting after sitting for around 30 minutes. I have tried using it 2–3 times, with a day’s gap in between, and no matter what adjustments I make, I still experience the same issue. I am 170cm tall guy; adjust mid, low, and high position for lumbar; moved seat at different location, etc.

Can someone guide me on what could be causing this? Is there something I might be missing in terms of the chair setup or lumbar adjustment?

The worst part is that they don't accept returns once the chair is sold, which is a bit disappointing. I was aware of this policy when I purchased it, so that's on me. However, my experience at the showroom was very good, whereas the chair I received has been the worst chair I've used in my 11 years of experience.

Any suggestions on what I could try would be really appreciated.

Need durable ₹30-35k chair - last one's backrest broke in 1 year

Hey Reddit! Can you guys help me out?

I’m looking for a new chair and I’m looking for the best chair I can get around a ₹30 - 35k budget.

My main priorities are:

* Good back support

* Strong and durable build

* A backrest that can handle me leaning back without breaking

* Ideally, a good recline so I can actually lean back and relax

I recently bought a chair from a local market, and the back literally broke when I leaned back a little. It’s only been around a year, so I don’t want to make the same mistake again.

I’ve found a few chairs around ₹35k If you have any other recommendations, especially from brands please let me know.

For reference, I’m around **5'6"–5'7" and 80 kg**.

Oh, just one more thing: I want to chair with a good very strong back. I can lean back on it

What would you guys recommend?

SuperErgo The Director (Metal)

Purchased this last week with some offers on Pepperfry and after trying it at a store and since the reviews are limited, I’m putting my initial reviews here:

Pricing: High (2/5)

It was cheaper on Pepperfry before the sale too and with payment offers it ended up costing me about 33.5K (Director Metal with foot rest). With Pepperfry you also get brand installation service which SuperErgo doesn’t provide if you buy directly through them, which is strange.

Delivery: 2/5

They use Delhivery so the lesser said the better. The box came with the tape opened on side of the box and one of the arms of the base was jetting out. Thankfully no structural damage and only scratches on one end.

Comfort and feel: 4/5

The chair is comfortable esp with the leg rest opened. I intended to buy it for 8-10 hours of daily WFH use but I think I’ll be spending some time on it later in the day and on weekends to read. Hope it holds up. The lumbar support is weird to begin with but you have to adjust the base slightly forward for the lumbar support to work how it’s designed to. I’m 5’10” and the neck rest can be used as neck or head rest for me depending on how I place it. The 5D armrests are also good although I think it’s more 4D than 5D (maybe I don’t know enough to use it)
The seat base is spacious for those like me who like to sit cross legged on chairs for a long time. (This is something I struggled with on my previous chair)

The button control system is also better than the lever controlled mechanisms and different than what’s available in the market.

Foot rest quality is good.

Back seems airy. Base is cushioned so not as airy I’d say.

Overall: 3.5-4/5

It’s a decent chair all in all. It takes some getting used to especially after spending 33k on it. It’s definitely over priced.
I feel if you’re inclining to spend money on the Director, the metal option is worth the upgrade otherwise go a segment lower and save 10k at least.
The foot rest function and 5D armrests must be taken if you’re spending this kind of money.

I tried just 1 more chair- The sleep company one with leg rest and that was a tad bit flimsy for my liking so I went with this. Wasn’t 100% convinced but I think I can live with it for a few years if it survives.

[Review] Superergo Director Chair 2.5/5

I have superergo director chair for 35k - it’s ok. After 3 months of usage.

The neckrest is way above your head and it touches head instead of your neck - even after adjusting it down, It does not touch neck. I’m 5’10. The neckrest is for 6’4+ guys. EDIT - when lumbar is vertically adjusted to max height then your neck support doesn't work. But this should have been accounted for. Bottommost lumbar position, allows neck to rest on neck rest.

Lumbar supports lower area only. creates a gap between mid/upper back and chair.

The handles don’t move vertically above the table level after sitting. so you can’t fully pull the table towards you.

i add pillows in gap between back and chair to feel support.

For that price point it’s 2.5/5

Btw I checked a few other chair in the showroom, this one felt less worse. Sometimes I feel these are all white labelled products and NOT really ergonomically crafted tested for best comfort.

Best chair under 15k

Feather lite amaze, so comfortable, noiseless, and amazing seat depth. I'm 6'2 but it still support my thighs. i switched from wake fit safari which had seat slider but that chair was so uncomfortable to sit on but this one is too good, can easily sit 8 hours without any issue.

Best ergonomic chair under ₹50K for 8–10 hours of WFH?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to buy a good ergonomic chair for my work-from-home setup. I spend around 8–10 hours a day on my computer, so comfort, back support, and long-term durability are my main priorities.

My budget is up to ₹50,000

I’ve already gone through quite a few Reddit threads and reviews. I’m not really interested in Super Ergonomic / The Sleep Company chairs, and after researching, I’ve narrowed it down to these options:

* Featherlite Optima

* Featherlite Helix Air

* Haworth Soji

* Steelcase Personality Plus

* Pelican Work Model 15

I’m a little confused about which one would actually be the best for sitting 8–10 hours every day.

For people who have actually used any of these chairs for a decent amount of time:

Which one would you pick and why?

I’m mainly looking for:

* Good lower-back/lumbar support

* Comfortable seat for long sessions

* Good recline

* Adjustable armrests

* Solid build quality

* Something that will last for years

I’d especially appreciate feedback from people who work from home and spend similar hours at their desk.

Also, if there’s another genuinely good chair under ₹50K that I’ve missed, please recommend it.

Thanks!
