I have a son who’s expressed some interest in attending an hbcu. I’ve graduated from one but I never put pressure for him to attend nor become a member of a BGLO.

My concern is the adjustment from becoming the “only” in his predominantly white private school and living in affluent community where there aren’t much of us either. We aren’t part of Jack and Jill, so I don’t know if he’d fit in with that set either. I’d love to hear any of your experiences or learnings if you’ve come from similar background. Thanks
