Ababa Hotel, synaesthesia portrait

Just a few quick photos in low res (not had time to scan it yet), the colours are a bit brighter in real life. Really love this song - especially when it's played live, so I listened to various live versions for this one. I didn't add an actual border like I would normally, as it felt right to leave the edges open. Other songs seem to feel more contained somehow, and I can't really explain that, and who knows what goes on in the grey matter anyway ?

Perhaps for this song it's because of the level of improvisation that happens ?

Watercolours (with metallic "Moon Gold" for the triangle and outlining), on Fabriano Artistico paper, 320mm x 240mm.

The next one (Sarniezz) will be on different paper that I haven't tried before (Hahnemuhle).

Sound to colour synaesthesia and AdP

Does anyone here have sound to colour synaesthesia ? Really curious about what you see when you listen to AdP...and to discover if there are any similarities with my experience of it when listening to them. For anyone who isn't aware of what it is, basically it means that I can see music (and other sounds). Almost always as moving/swirling colours, sometimes stationary colours.

I think I might be in the minority regarding AdP, as I heard them before I saw them. I got a few steps into the kitchen one night (radio was on as my dogs like music) and heard this amazing sound, spent several minutes just staring at the radio. Looked them up straight away, was not disappointed.

Some years ago I started a series of paintings and I could never quite figure out how/where/why I thought of them, and kind of lost the thread with them, but I think I've found it again now.

I'm sure there are other artists in here, any of you interested in some kind of AdP inspired collaboration ?

Really sorry if I've rambled a bit, it's late, this is the first time I've actually ever created a post on here (hope I've done it right), and I'm a bit sleep deprived due to arty things. I may not be able to reply for a day or two, but I will reply. I'm also happy to respond to anything regarding the synaesthesia.
