Was really hoping to get the fireworks but I still won so I’m not complaining!

I had a really favorable terror deck. Hans only killed two people before the finale was revealed but he also had two minor dark powers and I hadn’t dealt him any damage directly prior to the finale being revealed. Luckily I had my aluminum bat and took care of those before hitting the finale.

Items really did wonders for me this playthrough. I had a pepper spray and a bear trap which instantly ended his turn for two consecutive turns once the finale was revealed which allowed me to bide my time and prepare for a big whomping.

I kept my horror low and stocked up a Furious Strike and Critical Blow to ultimately take him out. Hans wasn’t gonna ruin my campers’ Fourth of July! 🎆 I’d like to think I used my bat and took out all my fury on him as fireworks exploded in the back. VERY cinematic.

I find myself avoiding The Organism bc Station 2891 is such a pain. I thought hm what about Camp Happy Trails?? My idea is the government dumped nuclear waste at a formerly-abandoned summer camp unbeknownst to the new owners. When campers come back for the summer, anyone could have been exposed ☢️😈

This was honestly pretty simple since Camp Happy Trails is pretty favorable for the final girl! The Star Crossed Lovers event meant several of my poor campers suffered at the hand of their mutated companions. I was only able to save four victims but I avenged them all in the end!

I had two bows throughout the game which I used up almost immediately upon retrieving but no other weapons. I had to defeat these monsters the old fashioned way, with my bare hands 🤪 RIP to all the campers 😩 Your memory lives on with Laurie.

Received some exciting mail today so here’s how my collection is looking!! Any guesses on who I got today? 🤔

As you can tell, my cat was very proud of me.

Used the Critical Blow + Furious Strike combo in the Action phase then finished them off with a Retaliate in the Killer phase. The two attacks were with the Scoped Rifle so that did wonders for my damage especially since Eyeless ignored the first damage with their dark power.

I also used the Improvise card and was able to convert for two successes which made getting successes for my attacks much easier. Still needed close call to reroll a 1 but was able to roll favorably. Hallelujah.

I was burned by Ultimate Endurance one too many times so I waited until the finale and just stocked up on cards to try and FINALLY get a win here. Thank god it’s over. I’ll be putting away this feature film for a WHILE now.

My local board game store recently got Shriek in stock! I’ve been eyeing it and bit the bullet even though it’s pricier than the normal feature films. So worth it!!

The killer mechanics are just so fun. I love the aspect of deduction; it makes getting to the finale fun and not like a super scary death sentence haha.

The map is fun, thematically, as well. Maybe not my favorite layout but there are fun enough elements like the booth and movement gimmicks that make it unique and interesting. I’d be interested to see how other killers would play out here.

But the cherry on top, the FINAL GIRLS! BOTH their ultimate abilities came in so clutch for me. I would never have succeeded without them. They’re maybe even a little overpowered but it equals out with the complications around victims following you at MegaBGCon.

This is maybe my favorite feature film. The killer mechanics are just so fun.
