Working on a 5x5x7 heavy hydrogen thruster, but Space Engineers texture workflow is giving me a hard time

I’ve been working on a custom 5x5x7 heavy hydrogen / rocket thruster for Space Engineers. The model is playable, the Blender material direction was built, and the FX/flame reached a result I’m happy with.
However, after many texture attempts, I couldn’t get the Blender texture look to translate into Space Engineers at the quality level I wanted. The in-game lighting, DDS/mipmaps, and _cm / _ng / _add workflow changed the final result too much compared to the original material target.
Because of that, I’m not convinced enough to publish this thruster in its current state. I’d rather pause it than release something that feels unfinished visually.
For now, I’ll move on to another project and maybe return to this thruster later with a proper UV/texture rebuild designed specifically for Space Engineers from the start.

Upgraded 5x5 Hydrogen Thruster Design — FX Done, Texturing Next

I wanted to share the upgraded version of my custom hydrogen thruster. I posted an older version before, but the design has now been rebuilt into this larger 5x5 large-grid hydrogen thruster.

The overall shape, nozzle design, proportions, and flame/FX setup are mostly done now. The main thing I’m still working on is the texture/material pass, because I want it to look clean and believable in-game instead of rushed.

After this prototype is finished and tested, I’m planning to work on more block types, including atmospheric thrusters, ion thrusters, and later a separate heavy weapon/superweapon block.

I’d love to hear feedback on the design direction so far, especially the shape and proportions before I move deeper into texturing.

New thruster

I'm trying to work on this new thruster mod with realistic fire burst but i am confused if i continue with that or just switch to make a super weapon mod cause there are many thrusters in SE workshop
