ROG ALLY help

I’m in the market for a handheld and I have a 600$ budget should I get a open box ROG ally z1 extreme or the new Xbox ally I’m new to handhelds I don’t know which one to get. This is mostly like something I’ll only use when I travel but I’d like to be able to connect it to a tv sometimes I mainly use my desktop pc or my ps5 for gaming but I want one of these could someone point me towards the best one for this price range? Thanks
