UBCV nursing program hard to get into?

I hope to pursue a career in nursing and advance into nurse practitioner later on. I was wondering which school should I get my BSN at and if it matters

I’m currently heading to langara in the fall for health citations, my original plan was to apply for their nursing program (after not getting into UBCO BSN) but wasn’t able to register for any bio courses for my first semester which most likely means I can’t finish that program in the minimum time range (8 months, my original plan; done as quickly as possible)

Should I switch my program (if I’m able to) into something like science associates so I can get enough credits to apply for UBCV BSN (but way more competitive.. don’t know if I stand a chance, if I don’t get accepted I’m cooked cus I want to stay local) or aim for langaras BSN

Eng 1129 or 1130

Hi, for my first semester I have English 1123 and plan on taking it alongside with another English to fulfil my program requirement, which is to take another English that’s transferrable to a university. I’m debating between 1129 and 1130. I want to go into nursing which requires a high GPA so which do you think in general is easier to get a higher grade and for which professor? Thank you!

BIOL 1190 waitlist

Sooo I waited too long to register for my Human Anatomy and Physiology and now the waitlist is over 20 people.. for all the courses offered, and I was hoping to finish my pre reqs for nursing at Langara in 8 months, the minimum time.
Since biol 1190 is required for biol 1191, I can’t take them both in the same semester. Is there a way for me to take the course online or at another institute then transfer the credits over???
I really want to apply for nursing school as quick as I can 🥹

Course planning: stats vs psyc

I’m going into health citations this fall hoping to apply for Langara’s nursing program (BSN) after completing it

For the program required courses, should I take Psyc 2321 or Stats 1123?

Is it correct that Psyc needs a pre req (Psyc 1115/1215) and for Stats just grade 11 math??
Also which course is it easier to get a higher grade in (better or nicer profs)

Which electives should I take as GPA boosters?? (Include teacher)

Pls lmk soon I’m stressed on picking my courses 🥲

How does the waitlist for schools work (especially ubc)?

If I’m waitlisted is there a list of people and admission offers go down that list numerically?

Also how long typically will you stay waitlisted until a decision is given?
