Symptoms finally improving

I just wanted to share this in case anyone needed some hope. I have a grade 3 cystocele and have been struggling a lot since November. I’ve been in PT for five months and things are finally looking up. I recently had to walk three miles in one day, and was expecting to be in agonizing pain since my limit seems to be no more than one mile per day. But to my surprise I was totally fine. No pain, no pulling or pressure sensations. I think I’ve discovered that I’ve been pushing myself too hard this entire time. For the last month or so I’ve stopped trying to find workouts that I can do and just let myself rest as much as possible, even though I felt guilty for it. So I guess my advice is to lower your expectations of what your body can handle, no matter how low they already are, and give yourself way more time.

GFR test doesn’t look promising

I just finished my testing to donate to a loved one, and my GFR came back at 89. Does this disqualify me from donating? I’m not scheduled to talk to the transplant team about my results for another week and I’m kind of panicking because my recipient doesn’t have any other potential donors. What were other people’s GFR levels before donating?

Cystocele feels hard after sex?

I’ve had a cystocele since November. It started as a grade 1 and has progressed to grade 3 since starting physical therapy. A week ago I had sex for the first time since it got really bad. It was awful and painful obviously, and there was a lot of swelling. Now the swelling has gone down, but the mass is bigger and feels hard and immovable instead of soft and squishy. The PT said she didn’t notice a significant change but it’s freaking me out. Does this happen to anyone else?

I’m an art therapist/counselor who mostly works with kids. My workplace does not expect us to wear anything even remotely business-like. As in, we’re allowed to wear paint stained t-shirts and jeans. I appreciate that I don’t have to ruin expensive blouses and slacks by getting messy with kids all day, but I still want to look somewhat put together for the sake of the parents. Any ideas? So far I’ve been thinking that a solid color shirt as opposed to graphic tees would be better, and a well fitted, clean pair of jeans. I’m also a very sweaty person, so I can’t do jackets, sweaters, layers, etc.
