Crunchier subsystems in narrative-focused game?

How do you guys feel about a narrative-focused game whose core mechanics are pretty simple, but would have a more in-depth ("crunchier") system for something like crafting? Part of the game gives players crafting materials for defeating enemies, but it's not a necessity to interact with it. I've realized though that it definitely gets more detailed than the general and combat resolution mechanics, and wondered if that conflicts with the rest of the game, or if it's fine to have subsystems that may be a bit different and more involved than the rest of the game.

For example, most combat turns are going to be more about narrating what you'd like to happen and have maybe one or two rolls, a lot up to interpretation. When it would come to crafting, however, there are definitely more steps involved in the process other than figuring out what's being crafted. Not necessarily with rolls, there's only one that's made, but as I've been designing and writing the magic items/equipment for the game, it's seeming like there's a lot more specific requirements than the rest of the game, and I want to pump the brakes real quick and make sure it doesn't feel like a major shift in the design goal of "keep things simple and leave it for interpretation/creativity."

Is Wall’s Organics still owned by the same guy?

Seeing if anyone knows if they’re still owned by the Wall’s guy. A few years ago he went on a whole thing on social media celebrating the overturning of Roe v Wade and saying only good Christians should shop at his stores. So I’m trying to see if he’s still involved. The names haven’t changed so I’m assuming so, and I prefer Remedy Center anyways, but still.

How do you like GM information to be formatted?

I've seen the gambit of opinions on how a system/product should address and format subjects for a game's GM. Some like it where it's an entire separate section/chapter in a book where the GM can go to read through things, others have said they prefer to have GM notes sprinkled throughout the regular rules so it doesn't feel like the GM has their own thing while everyone else has the rest of the book.

What do you guys like personally? Or do you think there is one option that's objectively better than the other? What are some other types of GM aids have you seen or made yourself that you like?

Admittedly, it's something I'm struggling with in my own project: whether to have an entire GM section later in the book or to have those notes in a sidebar or otherwise specified section within the same rules for the players.

My vehicle may need new front end struts, and I know that won't be cheap. My wife and I are barely making it pay-check-to-paycheck, but I use my vehicle for and at work. What are the best options to go to around town that'll be as easy as possible on the wallet without worrying about a bad job? Are there any shops around that may help with some sort of payment plan? I've honestly never really had to go to a shop for vehicle repair before, I've had family that helped before but they've moved.
