injecting higher doses

hi everyone!! im in need of some assistance! i started at 10 units 2 months ago, 20 units a month ago, and last week was my first 40 units dose. however, i noticed that it hurts and stings to inject all the medicine in one go. i had to stop halfway, wait a few seconds, and do the last half.

i also noticed some bruising. i usually inject on my stomach, but am thinking of doing my arm for my next dose this week. all that to say, what advice do you have for injecting higher doses and minimizing the stinging?

not asking for medical advice, just seeing what other people suggest.

thank you!!

EDIT: as someone kindly pointed out, not everyone is told to take their meds in units. 10 units was .25mg, 20 units was .50 mg, and 4 units is 1 mg. my doctor gave me instructions based on units, so i assumed everyone did as well.

EDIT 2: guys. I DONT CARE ABOUT UNIT vs ML CAN SOMEONE PLS TELL ME HOW TO MAKE THE STINGING STOP

final edit: thank you to everyone who gave genuinely good advice. i’ll ask my doctor about the needle gauge, try again in my leg, and let meds sir to not be so cold!

to everyone obsessed with the measurement being correct… i do NOT care. it’s very very simple. little dose, no ouchie. bigger dose, ouchie. how no ouchie? the highest legal dose of ozempic is 2mg per week. so idk why everyone is so obsessed with the exact amount. it’s less than 2 mg. just answer the question or shut up and scroll.
